It was very very dirty and most of the crystals were lying at the bottom of the box covered with stuff that looked like rust. I picked it up out of the box and sat there twirling it around deciding if I really wanted it even though I had been wanting one for my back porch. There were two women next to me who began to whisper, waiting for me to put it down and walk away. Well, the competitive part of me came out and I decided I would take it!
I was not prepared for buying anything so I had to scrounge around my purse for money. I came up with $8.00 and asked the seller if she would take it? Yep she did! I brought it home and spent time here and there removing all the crystals to wash and polish them. The candle stick holders were yellowed and tacky looking so found spray paint to make them blend in. Scrubbed all the thick layer of dust and muck from the bones and then put it all back together with new bulbs.
Ric has a place on the back porch he says he will wire and hang it with it's own switch. I love it!

What a deal! I love finding those bargains, and seeing what can be done with someone else's throw aways... diamond in the rough, and it's beautiful!!
