Go Karts are so fun!

Every year the Bishop of our Ward gives our youth a challenge to do between Memorial Day and Labor Day, this year it was reading the Book of Mormon from beginning to end. Any of the youth who finish the task get to have some sort of reward the Bishop sets up. This year, he took those who finished to a go-kart track for several hours that was only opened up to us and not the public. The kids had a blast! This is Kayla getting ready to start her first session. A helmet (provided), neck brace (provided), gloves (provided), long sleeves, long pants and closed toe shoes were all required. Sunglasses were optional but proved to be a needed item.

This would be Chanelle and her cool factor! The drawback to the day was that it was yesterday when the weather was still in the upper 80's and not the lower 70's like today so with all the equipment and long sleeves on, it became a little warm. It did help to keep the visor on your helmet cracked open a bit for some cool air to blow through. Ric went for "moral support Stake Presidency support" and ended up being able to ride with us. There is a picture of us suited up together but it disappeared from the desktop somehow. That will have to be posted later.
