Organ Stop Pizza!

Also while we were in Mesa, we went to a place called Organ Stop Pizza - so much fun! You can go listen to a person play this big organ (while eating not-so-good pizza) on top a platform (look at the man in the blue shirt on top of the photo) with the hundreds of pipes displayed on either side of him. There are other instruments around the platform and up on the ceiling that he presses buttons for and they play along too depending on the music. Some of them are things like: regular drums, cymbals, tin tubs used like drums, horns or all sorts, accordions, bells and whistles of all kinds too. He plays all from memory or by ear and takes requests. We heard things from the Sound of Music, the Glenn Miller Band famous songs, Swing Music other musicals, Christmas music of all kinds and Disney songs. One of the last pieces we heard before we left was, "Under the Sea" from the Little Mermaid and as it was playing bubbles floated down from the ceiling. The man at the Organ was totally amazing! It was fun to see people from all ages down to little kids laughing, singing along, bouncing in their seats (quite a sight to see little old people get so excited when music from their era, like the Glenn Miller Band, play and they just get the biggest grins on their faces as they sing-along) and even dancing in the aisles! You come and find a seat, listen and leave when you are ready. Great times!
